Matt Gruda is a seasoned Republican political strategist. He began his career as the
Field Director for Congressman John Katko's successful re-election campaign in 2016.
After managing a statewide field team in Virginia for a lieutenant governor's campaign in
2017, he joined Senate Leadership Fund as Political Coordinator, overseeing critical
polling and get-out-the-vote efforts in the 2018 cycle. Gruda then led Congressman
Brian Fitzpatrick’s successful 2020 re-election campaign and served as Political Director
for Senator Marco Rubio's 2022 bid. Most recently, he was the Campaign Manager for
Senator Dave McCormick’s historic victory in Pennsylvania. Recognized for his
expertise, Gruda was named to the American Association of Political Consultants' 40
under 40 list in 2025 and earned Campaign Manager of the Year for the 2024 cycle.
Currently, he directs the political operation for Republican Senate Majority Leader John
Thune.
