Retaining young political staff in the Southeast is becoming increasingly difficult, as campaigns—particularly in non-competitive races—offer limited steady employment, blur career advancement and drive emerging talent toward more competitive regions or out of the industry altogether. 

This session will begin with an overview of data examining the scope and trends of young industry staff. Participants will then engage in a facilitated roundtable exercise to identify and share practical solutions tailored to the region’s unique political landscape. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how firms and campaigns can better recruit, retain, and support the next generation of political talent.
