Kevin Liao has led communications efforts at the national, state, and local levels for high-profile officials and causes.

In California, Kevin has worked on campaigns including Tom Steyer's run for governor and led media relations and messaging for successful legislative efforts including a first-in-the-nation law to reduce plastics pollution and landmark online safety protections for children. He began his career as press secretary to Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon.

Nationally, Kevin served as communications director for Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz in 2024, and in 2020 worked on Senator Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign and President Biden's general election campaign in Nevada.
