Kate Maeder is a national political strategist, advising federal, state, and local candidates and political action committees. Before KMM Strategies, Kate was the Campaign Manager and lead strategist for Eleni Kounalakis for Lieutenant Governor. She cut her teeth in San Francisco politics, rising through the ranks of Storefront Political Media from 2009 to 2017. She was named one of AAPC's 40 Under 40 political leaders and won a Pollie Award for one of the nation’s best digital ad campaigns in 2022.

She lives in San Francisco with her wife, toddler, and two dogs. During the off-season, she can often be found behind the bar at Scarlet Fox, a neighborhood wine bar the couple owns together.
