Clay Travis is co-host of The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, the No. 1 talk radio program in the format’s 12 - 3 p.m. ET timeslot. The three-hour live show is syndicated by Premiere Networks and reaches millions of listeners on approximately 550 radio stations nationwide. Joined by Buck Sexton, the duo tackles the biggest stories in news, politics and current events with intelligence and humor. Together, they guide listeners through the latest headlines and hot topics with fun and entertaining conversations and opinions.

In January 2025, Sexton and Travis launched Team 47, a weekly podcast covering the Trump administration. Each week, they spotlight the most important piece of news about President Donald Trump as covered on The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, providing comprehensive analysis and commentary, while breaking down the impact the news may have on Americans and their daily lives.

The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Podcast Network, which was launched in March 2023, features a slate of news, politics and culture podcasts. Travis is the founder of the fastest growing national multimedia platform, OutKick Media, that produces and distributes engaging content across sports and pop culture to millions of fans across the country. OutKick was created by Travis in 2011 and sold to the Fox Corporation in 2021. Travis also hosts Outkick The Show where he provides his unfiltered opinion on the most compelling headlines throughout sports, culture, and politics. In July of 2023, Outkick The Show was added to FOX’s streaming app, FOX Nation.

Travis makes regular appearances on FOX News Media as a contributor, providing analysis on a variety of subjects ranging from sports news to the cultural landscape. Throughout the college football season, Travis appears on Fox Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff where he breaks down the game and the latest storylines.

Travis previously hosted FOX Sports Radio’s industry-leading weekday morning-drive program, Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis, which launched in 2016 and was broadcast on more than 350 stations nationwide. Based in Nashville, Tenn., the program featured Travis’ informed, outspoken, fearless and often funny commentary on the latest sports headlines, as well as interviews and listener interaction.

Travis also previously co-hosted FS1’s first-ever, daily gambling TV show FOX Bet Live alongside Alex Curry, “Cousin Sal” Iacono, and other betting aficionados. Additionally, he hosted Wins & Losses with Clay Travis on the iHeartPodcast Network. The program featured candid, in-depth conversations with the biggest names in sports, entertainment, business and beyond, who discuss their inspiring journeys to success, including their wins and losses along the way.

In July of 2007, Travis published his first book Dixieland Delight, a critically-acclaimed chronicle of his 2006 tour of all 12 Southeastern Conference football stadiums and his entertaining fan experiences at every stop. The Nashville native and former lawyer previously wrote columns for CBSSports.com for four years before joining Deadspin as an editor in 2008.

During fall of that year, he began his second book, On Rocky Top: A Front-Row Seat to the End of an Era, an all-access tell-all documenting the University of Tennessee football program over the course of its season. His third book, Republicans Buy Sneakers, Too: How the Left is Ruining Sports with Politics, was released by Harper Collins in September 2018. His most recent book, American Playbook: A Guide to Winning Back the Country from the Democrats, was released in 2023 via Threshold Editions and offers Travis’ unique playbook approach to politics, outlining how Republicans can win elections and win back the country through the lens of sports metaphors.

After spending 2009-2011 as a columnist for AOL FanHouse, Travis launched Outkick The Coverage, then an SEC-centric news and opinion blog, in July 2011. Gaining strong traction through the world of social media, Outkick became an internet phenomenon, attracting an average of two million unique visitors each month. Travis also previously co-hosted the top-rated 3HL on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville for five years.

A graduate of George Washington University as well as Vanderbilt Law School, Travis is married with three children, and lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
