Tommy McDonald has been a media consultant for 13 years. He has been honored to help tell stories in over 30 states and for over 200 successful campaigns – mostly for nontraditional candidates like nurses, farmers, teachers, mechanics, plumbers, public defenders, school board members, soldiers and small town mayors.
Tommy’s work has been called “a model for taking on Republicans” by the New York Times, and showing “every Democrat what modern messaging looks like” by Crooked Media. Tommy has helped elect 21 U.S. Representatives and been a media consultant on 6 Senate campaigns, including serving as the lead paid media consultant on the 2022 U.S. Senate race in Penns"ylvania. He has helped lead multi-cycle systematic victories like the majority on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and State House, and has made ads for some of the largest institutions in the country, including NRDC, HMP, LCV and WFP.

Tommy has won over 50 industry awards, including for Campaign of the Year, Best Democratic Ad Campaign of the Year, Best Ad of the Year, Humor, Innovation in Media Buying and over a dozen awards in digital media. Tommy is also proud of his work for Independents and candidates outside of the traditional process, including working on the media team for Dan Osborn’s innovative independent campaign.
