Speaker Bio
Lindsay Vermeyen is the Co-Head of Research at New River Strategies, where she is a trusted advisor to progressive leaders across the country. Through strategic research and message development, Lindsay helps political candidates, advocacy organizations, and institutions connect with voters and move public opinion.
In 2024, Lindsay led the polling for Arizonans for Abortion Access and Missourians for Constitutional Freedom, helping to enshrine the right to abortion and reproductive healthcare for millions. She also played a key role in protecting abortion rights in the 2022 cycle, supporting coalitions in Nevada and Michigan to pass proactive ballot measures protecting reproductive freedom — and working to defeat an anti-abortion initiative in Montana.
Lindsay also helps Democratic candidates across the country win tough races. Her recent work includes campaigns for Adam Schiff, Josh Harder, Sara Jacobs, Sasha Renée Pérez, Louise Lucas, Caroline Menjivar, and Rex Richardson.
In addition to campaign work, Lindsay partners with organizations to develop long-term messaging strategies, particularly in red states. She has collaborated with coalitions in Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Wyoming — crafting narratives that resonate across the progressive-to-moderate spectrum and writing handbooks to support advocacy efforts in each state.
Before becoming a pollster, Lindsay worked at Dewey Square Group, coordinating statewide and national grassroots and PR campaigns, including the Pew Environment Group’s Clean Energy Campaign. She also directed outreach for two free health clinics in Southern California — Maria Shriver’s Modern House Call for Women and CareNow — providing medical, dental, and vision care to thousands of underserved patients.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Lindsay lives in Santa Monica with her husband and daughter. She is a proud USC Trojan and was recognized as one of the American Association of Political Consultants’ “40 Under 40” in 2023.
