Speaker Bio
Aubrey Montgomery founded Rittenhouse Political Partners in 2013 after more than a decade spent
raising millions of dollars in more than a dozen states. She is regarded as one of top fundraising
professionals in the country, not only for her ability to create and execute finance plans, but also for
her ability to coach candidates and train finance staff.
In the 2012 election cycle, Aubrey served as Finance Director for the Pennsylvania Democratic
Party, overseeing a nearly $20 million-dollar budget and playing a key role in the re-elections of
President Barack Obama and Senator Bob Casey, and the historic election of Democrats to all three
state-wide row offices. Immediately after founding Rittenhouse Political Partners, Aubrey served as
the Finance Director for PHLDNC 2016 – the local Host Committee that brought the Democratic
National Convention to her hometown of Philadelphia.
Since her work with then-Senator Hillary Clinton while still a student at New York University,
Aubrey has worked on and supported campaigns across the country. In the past several years
Aubrey had been named a “Rising Star” by publications Billy Penn and Campaign & Elections
magazine. A member of the American Association of Political Consultants, they recognized her as
one of a dozen Democrats on their 2016 list of “40 Under 40” operatives. And in 2022 Aubrey and
Rittenhouse Political Partners were ranked among the top 50 statewide consultants by City & State
Pennsylvania while also being recognized as among the 100 most influential Philadelphians by
Philadelphia Magazine.
In addition to her past candidate work, Aubrey has run several issue advocacy campaigns, and spent
three years as NARAL Pro-Choice America’s youngest state Executive Director, leading the
Pennsylvania affiliate from 2006-2009. Her commitment to working with and electing women at
every level of government continues today; her current and past clients include a number of female
office holders and Political Action Committees that focus on increasing the number of women in
elected and appointed offices.
Aubrey is a graduate of The Campaign School at Yale University, where she now serves on their
board and is a founding board member of the National Association of Political Fundraisers. She
conducts trainings regularly at the University of Pennsylvania, Chatham University Center for
Women in Politics, Emerge America, the New Leaders Council and for various Democratic causes
and non-profit organizations.
Aubrey lives in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia with her husband Josh
Nanberg, who is an award-winning political media consultant. She jokes that she focuses on raising
money while he focuses on how to spend it. They love traveling with their son, Noah, who was on
sixteen flights before his first birthday.
